The Eagle Eye System is a digital video, voice and data system that transmits and receives high resolution video, audio, and data in real-time using a variety of technologies including xDSL, microwave, fiber optic, and twisted pair copper using the latest in video/data compression techniques. The system is can be composed of:

• Network capable analog or digital cameras capable of Pan, Tilt, Zoom with a dome and power supply,
• Encoder with communications multiplexer,
• Pair of Line Drivers and Filters,
• Decoder with communications multiplexer,
• Video monitor and camera controller
• Multiplexer and analog or digital recorders

Encoder Description:

The EagleEye encoder digitizes and compresses a standard analog NTSC/PAL color video signal and outputs a single continuous serial digital output signal representing the input picture clocked at any fixed rate up to 10 Mbps. A variety of transmission interfaces are available. The encoder receives EIA232 encoder with terminal emulation. Setup includes user selectable adjustments for horizontal resolution (pixels/line), quantization level, crop mode, output bit rate, color, tint, system defaults, and system status information. The 3- wire EIA232 communication link supports serial data baud rates of 300 to 9600; all external EIA232 programming is held in EEPROM, and therefore, is retained upon power down. The Advanced Digital Video Standard (ADVS) compression technique causes no blurring of the compressed picture upon the encoding and decoding of any type of moving objects within a given picture. Using this scheme, each and every video frame is digitized separately and completely. Available options include a data multiplexer that provides inputs for asynchronous serial data, PCM data and clock, and an audio signal to be interspersed into the digitized video data stream or a communications multiplexer that puts four serial ports, voice and video on one EIA530 interface.
